How and when do I request an emergency appointment?

Before you book an emergency appointment, you should always consult with us, because there are  some rules to follow.
You should make the emergency appointment about 3-4 weeks before departure. To do this, go to your account at ustravel.docs and click on "Make emergency appointment". Please enter "beginning of studies in the USA" as the reason and enter the date when you are supposed to be in the USA. If you have already booked a flight, please enter the flight details.
Please upload the following documents:
  • 1st page of the I-20 with the visible Beginning of Classes.
  • Confirmation of the paid SEVIS fee
  • Your tickets, if you have already booked a flight.
It is also very helpful if your coach or someone from the university can send you an email with the logo of the university and confirm that you have to arrive at the university on a certain date.

Warning
Important:
You can request the emergency appointment a total of 3 times, after which you must pay the DS-160 fee again.
