WHAT DOCUMENTS DOES THE EMBASSY KEEP?
In most cases, the embassy will only keep the passport and the DS-160 confirmation page.
All other documents are returned immediately after the appointment.
WHEN WILL THE PASSPORT WITH THE VISA BE RECEIVED?
The passport with the visa is usually delivered within 2 to 5 business days to the selected address (either home delivery or the chosen post office).
In the meantime, the visa status can be checked at the following
link.
- Select the visa type “Nonimmigrant Visa (NIV)” and complete the remaining information.
WHAT TO DO WHEN THE PASSPORT IS RECEIVED?
Check that all visa details match the passport and the I-20: first name, last name, date of birth, and SEVIS number.
- If everything is correct, send us a photo of the visa.
- If there is any mistake, let us know as soon as possible so it can be corrected.
KEEP THE I-20 SAFE
It is very important to keep the original I-20 together with the visa. Both documents are required to enter the United States.
FLIGHT BOOKING
Once the visa has been received and the university and/or coach have confirmed the arrival date on campus, the flight can be booked. After booking the flight:
- Send us the flight details.
- It is also recommended to share them with the university (coach, admissions office, etc.).
