Request an IEE Evaluation
Your grades must be converted into the American grading system. In this guide you will find information on how to apply for the evaluation of your certificates via IEE.
Evaluation requirements
To apply for the evaluation, you will need the following digital documents:
- A single PDF scan of your GCSE certificates. The grade report sheet you received on results day will not be approved.
- A single PDF scan of your A-Level/BTEC L3 certificates (if you have completed them and have received the certificates)
- A card for the payment
You need to upload a single, colour, PDF of each credential, please do not upload photos or each certificate page individually. Genius Scan is a free app which will let you do this. Examples of what your transcripts need to look like can be seen below. (The images mention them needing to be stamped and signed, this is no longer the case).
You apply for the IEE evaluation HERE in our portal and complete the following steps:
Create an account. Once created enter your personal information.
Your evaluation
- The country for the evaluation to be sent is the USA
- Evaluation type is Course Evaluation - $145
- For translation services select "all my documents are in English or I have a certified English translation"
- For processing time select "3 business days"
Your education
- You will now list all credentials that you have completed
- If you are still in school completing A-levels or their equivalent, do not list these
- If you have completed A-levels, you need to list these as a separate credential, even if you did them at the same school as your GCSEs
- Click on "Add credential" and then enter the country and the name of your school
- Type of Diploma is Secondary/High School
- Name of Diploma is the title that appears on your certificate (e.g. GCSE/A-Level/BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma)
- Completed, choose yes
- Year awarded, the year you completed your credential (this should be on your certificate)
- How will credential be submitted
- You can upload your certificates directly (third box)
- IEE reserves the right to request official documents or confirmations from your school (possibly for an additional fee). This is why it is incredibly important that you upload clear, colour PDF scans of the actual certificates like are shown above.

Do not upload anything other than official transcripts. Letters from schools, predicted grades, term reports should not be uploaded, nor should any other qualifications. If you have not completed a credential, upload nothing for it.
Delivery options
- Select which US university the evaluation should be sent to
- It is important you put down the email of your college here, it may cost you additional fees to send the report later down the line as many colleges will only accept a completed report from the evaluation company and not from yourself or us at Keystone Sports.
- Put a contact for admissions/a generic admissions email address. We do not recommend you put down coach!
- You can usually find the details of this person by logging into your admissions portal, or by going to the universities international admissions web page. If there is no name/person and only a generic email, put this.
Review and pay
- Check your application and click next if everything is correct
- Select the desired payment option and click pay now
- After you have made the payment, your application will be processed
- Please watch for emails from IEE in case there are any questions about your documents!
