Set up Duolingo Account

To create a Duolingo account, please open the Duolingo website.

  1. Enter your email address and choose a password.
  2. On the next page, enter your first and last name.
  3. Select why you want to complete Duolingo, e.g., for a bachelor's degree.
  4. Then click on the US flag.
  5. Enter when you would like to take the test – this is only a statistical question and has no relevance.
  6. It doesn't matter what you enter for “How did you hear about us?”

You have now created your account and can immediately take practice tests by clicking on the “Practice” button on the left-hand side.

Please do not create your account via Google, as we will not be able to log into your account to help you in case of an emergency.
