Filling out a regular school application
PERSONAL INFORMATION
- Full Name: Always write your name exactly as it appears on your passport or national ID. Include both last names if applicable.
- Middle Name: This doesn’t apply in most countries outside the U.S. If you have a compound first name (e.g., María del Mar), include the full name in the “First Name” field.
- Suffix: Not applicable for international students.
CITIZENSHIP & VISA
- Citizenship: This refers to your nationality.
- International students will apply for an F-1 visa.
ACADEMIC INFORMATION
- Undergraduate = Select this if you’re applying for a bachelor's degree
- Graduate = Select this if you're applying for a master's degree
- Freshman = First-year college student
- Transfer = If you’re moving from another university
- Major: This means the degree or field you want to study. If you’re unsure, select Undecided
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Housing: Most students will live on campus unless their coach advises otherwise
- Intended Enrollment Status: Always select Full-Time
- Do you wish to have your scores considered?: Usually refers to the SAT. If the test is optional, check with your consultant to decide whether your score will help with admission or scholarships
- Entry / Start Year / Term: If you're starting in Fall 2026, select Fall 2026
- Graduating Class Size: The total number of students graduating in your year (not just your class)
- Class Rank: Your academic ranking among your graduating class. If your school does not calculate this, leave it blank or select Not Applicable
